Victorious Community Development (VCD) Receives Donation from Tri-Star Charitable Foundation

Celebrating Community Impact and Empowerment of Youth in Saginaw County

Victorious Community Development (VCD) was honored to receive a generous donation of $5,000 from the Tri-Star Charitable Foundation at its annual Be a Light Celebration, held on September 12, 2024. The event, which took place in the Great Lakes Bay Region, highlights organizations that are making significant contributions to their communities in both the Great Lakes Bay and Greater Lansing Areas.

Pastor Chris Pryor, the lead pastor of Victorious Believers Ministries, accepted the award on behalf of VCD, sharing his joy at being recognized alongside so many outstanding organizations dedicated to community service and making a positive impact. VCD was specifically honored for its tireless efforts to empower and uplift the youth of Saginaw County through education, exposure, and community engagement. In addition to the educational programs, VCD is particularly excited about the development of their new community center, which has been named after the late Bishop Marvin C. Pryor, Bishop Pryor was passionate advocate for education and believed deeply in the power of knowledge to transform lives. This center will serve as a hub for local youth and their families, providing space for learning, mentoring, and community events. This non-profit was started by his father and he is proud to continue the legacy.

“We are deeply humbled and overjoyed to be recognized by Tri-Star Charitable Foundation for the work we are doing with the youth in our community,” Pastor Pryor shared. “Through initiatives that provide educational trips across the country and partnerships with local universities, VCD is opening doors for young people to explore new opportunities, grow in knowledge, and develop into leaders who will shape the future of our community.”VCD has long been committed to fostering both academic growth and a deep sense of pride in heritage and identity. The organization’s work ensures that young people not only gain valuable educational experiences, but also develop a strong connection to their cultural history, which empowers them to make informed, impactful decisions for their futures.

Pastor Pryor expressed his gratitude for the $5,000 donation, stating, “This award is incredibly meaningful to us. It is not just a financial contribution; it’s an investment in the future of our youth. With this generous donation, we are able to continue expanding our programs, create more opportunities for our young people, and deepen our impact in the Saginaw community.”

VCD’s leadership and staff are enthusiastic about the future, knowing that this donation from Tri-Star Charitable Foundation will further strengthen their ongoing efforts to support youth in Saginaw County. As the organization continues to expand its outreach and programming, the future looks brighter for the young people it serves.

“We are proud of the work we have accomplished so far, and we look forward to the continued success and impact that will come from this support. Together, we will keep building up the next generation of leaders in our community,” Pastor Pryor concluded.
