Join Us for a Morning of Reflection, Unity, and Action to End Gun Violence

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, community members are invited to gather for the Safe City Community Breakfast, a powerful morning dedicated to addressing gun violence and fostering collective healing. The event will take place from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Rita’s Southern Soul Café, 110 N. Washington Avenue in Saginaw.

As part of our Youth Community Violence Prevention and Intervention Initiative, this breakfast offers a meaningful space for dialogue, remembrance, and renewed commitment to change. The program will include reflections from law enforcement, testimonies from local youth, cultural performances, and a community prayer of remembrance.

Special guests include Tamara Tucker of the Saginaw chapter of Parents of Murdered Children and Hon. M.T. Thompson, former Saginaw County District Judge, who will share their perspectives and calls to action.

A complimentary breakfast will be provided. The event is free to attend, but seating is limited. To reserve your spot, please call (989) 759-9116.

This is more than a meal. It is a moment to come together, honor lives lost, uplift community voices, and stand united in the ongoing fight against violence.
