The Bishop Marvin C. Pryor IMPACT Center will be a vibrant, state-of-the-art hub for youth education and enrichment in Saginaw. Set to open as early as January 2026, the center will offer hands-on learning in robotics, coding, art, and engineering—blending fun with academic support to help students succeed.

With certified educators, early intervention programs, and a focus on creativity and community, the center will provide a safe, engaging space that supports families, reduces barriers, and inspires future innovators.

IMPACT VISION

  • A state-of-the-art facility that will serve as a vibrant hub to educate, elevate, and empower children and youth in a safe and fun environment before and after school.
  • Learning will be exciting, engaging, and rewarding through evidence-based programs designed to support academic achievement, social-emotional development, and long-term life success.
  • Students will have the opportunity to design, code, and create using robotics, 3D printing, art, and engineering tools blending technology and creativity to become tomorrow’s digital innovators.
  • The project will transform the former Trinity Lutheran School, helping to eliminate blight, reduce violence, and support community revitalization.
  • The center will go beyond traditional education by incentivizing students to stay focused in school so the fun and learning can continue with hands-on experiences and creative enrichment.

IMPACT CHANGE

  • Programming will target youth at earlier ages, allowing for positive influence and early intervention during their most formative years.
  • It will help close the educational opportunity gap for students in the city of Saginaw by providing equitable access to high-quality academic and enrichment programs.
  • Families will benefit as the center partners with parents and teachers to support homework completion with the help of certified educators making evenings less stressful and more meaningful.
  • The center will address the lack of affordable, personalized tutoring options like (Kumon, Sylvan, and Mathnasium) in urban areas bringing quality learning support to the students who need it most.
